Located on the same walking trail, these are at a walking distance of one hour from one another. There couldn't be a more ideal place for fishing than the crystal clear Tirthan River, a tributary of Beas. Filled with brown and rainbow trouts, this river has over the year become a favourite place among the tourists as an angler spot.

Serloskar Lake, another major attraction of the village is located about 5 km from Jalori Pass. The lake has clear water which remains so despite of several leaves falling in to it. The place is better known for its temple devoted to Goddess Budhi Nagin. It is believed that the Goddess has hundred sons and acts as a guardian of the place. The walk to the lake is equally enchanting from Jalori pass, with thick cover of oak trees.

Great Himalayan National Park

The Great Himalayan National Park is a blessing in disguise for nature lovers. From lush green forests to blooming flowers and meandering streams, this place also houses various well laid out trek paths. Depending on the difficulty level, one has an option to choose from half day, full day, overnight or multiple day camping. River crossing is one of the most popular adventure sports in Tirthan Valley. There are many places along the river where you can taste this adventure. The icy cold spray of the river while tackling the river is a motivating factor for enthusiasts. The activity can be done any time of the year, except during Monsoon season. This is the best water sport for school groups, couples, and families. It is a risky sport, so a personal trainer is required.

Car

To get to the Tirthan (550 kms from Delhi) one must turn off from Aut , just before the Pandoh Tunnel an hour before Kulu on the Manali highway from Chandigarh. From Aut it is 26 kms of a pleasant drive along the river via Larji bypassing Banjar on the way to Gushaini.


Bus

The HPTDC has regular bus services from neighboring states like Delhi, Punjab and Haryana. To travel to Tirthan Valley, you can take a bus till Aut which is just 26 km from your destination. Cabs are easily available from there on till the town. Other options are Jalori Pass (27 km) and Shoja (22 km)


Train

The nearest railway stations to the location are Ambala and Kiratpur, both well connected with various other cities through the means of a rail network. Flight

The nearest airport to Tirthan Valley is Bhuntar, located at a distance of around 48 km from the location. Indian Airlines and Deccan Airways operate flights often to this region. Helicopter service by Jagson Airlines can also be undertaken to reach the place, after which you can board a taxi.
