Situated in the south Goa, Varca beach simply adorns the entire Goa with its 10 kms stretch of marvellous white sand covering seashore and the glittering blue waves hugging the coast. It has beautiful black lava rocks dotting the sand along with sunbeds and loungers, so as to admire the soothing scenery. It's a pleasant place that ejects undisputed beauty of nature. Varca is a home to the local fishing community and so wooden fishing boats are lined in some areas. There are plenty of five star hotels and budget lodgings that are located just behind the beach amongst lovely gardens and striking surroundings. There are numerous beach shacks that offer mouth-watering seafood at low prices. Here, the nature is almost unspoilt and you can easily spend some beautiful moments of peace. Decorated with lush greenery, beach is surrounded with palm trees and other vegetation. The place is extremely calm and peaceful, which is very far away from the shores of North Goa. This place is always attracted by beach lovers and honeymoon couples as one can spend time in enjoying boat trips and watching dolphins on the river Sal. In brief, Varca beach is a perfect location for tourists looking for peace and serenity
Agonda’s beach is wide, quiet and picturesque, with a turtle centre at the northern end protecting precious Olive Ridley eggs. This is not, however, the place for a leisurely swim; the beach shelves steeply at high tide and the surf can be rough. For a sunset walk or a long lazy day, however, Agonda encapsulates romantic Goa at its very best.
Parasailing, also known as parascending or parakiting, is a recreational kiting activity where a person is towed behind a vehicle (usually a boat) while attached to a specially designed canopy wing that reminds one of a parachute, known as a parasail wing. The manned kite's moving anchor may be a car, truck, or boat. The harness attaches the pilot to the parasail, which is connected to the boat, or land vehicle, by the tow rope. The vehicle then drives off, carrying the parascender (or wing) and person into the air. If the boat is powerful enough, two or three people can parasail behind it at the same time. The parascender has little or no control over the parachute. The activity is primarily a fun ride, not to be confused with the sport of paragliding. There are commercial parasailing operations all over the world. Land-based parasailing has also been transformed into a competition sport in Europe. In land-based competition parasailing, the parasail is towed to maximum height behind a 4-wheel drive vehicle. The driver then releases the tow line; the parasailer flies down to a target area in an accuracy competition. The sport was developed in the early 80's and has been very popular ever since. The first international competitions were held in the mid 80's and continue to this day.
